New Pitch

Elevator Line:
A private detective, Frank, seemingly interested in his attractive secretary, Agnes, purchases a pearl necklace as what appears to be a surprise gift. However, the necklace is not a gift for Agnes but an accessory to his persona as a woman.

Theme:
With this film I want to explore the idea of using a persona as escapism. By becoming someone else one could momentarily trade their emotional and physical baggage for the life they desire, or at least one that is different from the one they currently have. In essence, becoming someone that is so radically different from oneself, if only for a moment, could allow one's real life to be that much more bearable. Moreover, one should be unafraid to be accepting of oneself and allowing that side of themselves to be shown to others.

Synopsis:
Cool light from the noisy city pours in through the window of small, cramped room. Outside the small office, a secretary, Agnes, is typing busily away against the sounds of the city. Frank, the private detective, drags himself after another long day's work. After seeing the lovely Agnes, his mood perks up and they exchange friendly glances. Inside his office he pulls out a pearl necklace that appears to be a gift for Agnes. However, it is revealed to the audience that the necklace is in fact for Frank himself and is the piece de resistance for his transvestite persona. He exits his office and and reveals his transvestitism to Agnes, who examines his new necklace with envy and excitement. He and Agnes then go out for a night on the town together, as ladies and as friends.
